What will you do?
As a mathematics student at Voortman Steel Group, you will be challenged to solve complex problems that have a direct impact on the efficiency and effectiveness of our clients' operations. You will work on developing advanced algorithms and models that contribute to optimizing material usage, production processes, and logistical challenges. This may include tasks such as performing minimal path and collision model calculations, designing algorithms to minimize material waste, and improving transport and loading systems for steel structures.

Additionally, you will explore new methods and techniques, such as machine learning and data analysis, to refine existing processes and create new solutions. You have the freedom to delve into mathematical challenges and develop innovative solutions that are applicable in the dynamic world of steel processing. Your insights and models will help improve our software and processes, leading to cost savings, more efficient production, and a more sustainable future.

Wat ga je doen?

Als wiskundige student bij Voortman Steel Group word je uitgedaagd om complexe problemen op te lossen die een directe impact hebben op de efficiëntie en effectiviteit van de bedrijfsvoering bij onze klanten. Je werkt aan het ontwikkelen van geavanceerde algoritmes en modellen die bijdragen aan het optimaliseren van materiaalgebruik, productieprocessen, en logistieke vraagstukken. Dit kan variëren van minimal path en collision model berekeningen, het ontwerpen van algoritmes voor het minimaliseren van materiaalverspilling tot het verbeteren van transport- en laadsystemen voor staalconstructies .

Daarnaast onderzoek je nieuwe methoden en technieken, zoals machine learning en data-analyse, om bestaande processen te verfijnen en nieuwe oplossingen te creëren. Je hebt de vrijheid om je te verdiepen in wiskundige vraagstukken en om innovatieve oplossingen te ontwikkelen die toepasbaar zijn in de dynamische wereld van staalbewerking. Je inzichten en modellen zullen helpen bij het verbeteren van onze software en processen, wat leidt tot kostenbesparingen, efficiëntere productie, en een duurzamere toekomst.
