Hello, my name is Ties Westendorp. I studied applied mathematics (bachelor's and master's) at the University of Twente with a specialization in Operations Research. After finishing my studies, I started working as a software developer in the planning team of the Healthcare business unit of Nedap. Nedap Healthcare is market leader in several healthcare markets, and provides a broad software suite for administration, logistics, dossiers and much more. Due to our large customer base, everything we do has real impact, which brings both opportunity and responsibility.
 
The analytical mindset that was cultivated during my studies helps me dissect and understand complex systems and balance them with user requirements. The last few years I have worked on building a solver for the Vehicle Routing Problem with practical constraints for household care schedules. Besides healthcare, Nedap also operates in three other key markets: security management, livestock management and retail.
