Dear Applied Math students,

The book `Zestig Jaar Toegepaste Wiskunde in Twente’ will be available to AM students at a strongly reduced price: €9.99 instead of €25.

Our programme in Applied Mathematics exists almost 60 years, however, Applied Mathematics as a research field dates back to 1965, reason for alumnus Herman Koppelman to write a book about teachers and students throughout its existence entitled:

Zestig jaar Toegepaste Wiskunde in Twente (Sixty years of Applied Mathematics in Twente).

The book is written in Dutch and contains interviews with AM teachers and students and stories about AM. It forms a cross section of the history of AM. The book contains a wealth of pictures, some of which have never been published before as they come for private archives.

In short, a book that, no doubt, should be on everybody’s book shelves. The book will be published on 12 December and costs €25 for the general public.

For current AM students, however, the book will be temporarily offered for the special price of €9.99 per copy. Consider it a late Black Friday offer.

You can obtain your copy by walking by in the Educafé in the lunch breaks of Monday 15 and Thursday 18 December between from 12:30 to 13:30.
