Symposium committee 2025
This committee organises a mathematical symposium around June 2025.
Every year the symposium committee organises a symposium for all the members of Abacus and other interested people. The symposium is usually organised around a theme, like the health care system, wind and water or safety. The committee starts by finding an interesting theme and then searches for interesting speakers and a chairman of the day. Of course all this does need sponsering.
Next to this, the committee makes sure that on the day of the symposium everything goes well. This includes making a script for the day, reserving a location, and arranging lunch, coffee and directions.
As a member of the symposium committee you will learn to make contact with companies and people willing to speak on the symposium. The day of the symposium is always very interesting and professional. Moreover you will learn what all needs to be arranged for such a day.
